Cada tiempo yo vestía como un vaquero, yo siempre recuerdo mi abuelo, abuelo Chuck. My grandfather's name was Chuck Felker. He was born in 1936 in Greeley, Colorado. He always wore a cowboy hat and ostrich boots. My grandfather loved his ranches and his family. He loved to ride his horse, Bouncy. My grandfather loved riding and roping as well. He was part of the Apache County Sheriff's Posse. He always made jokes and had a smile. Whenever he had free time, he would ride. He welded in the NAVY on the boats. He died on January 28, 2011. A memory that makes me happy is when he let me ride his horse. His joking personality always brings good memories. Every time I dress like a cowboy, I always remember my grandfather, Grandpa Chuck. 3. Who I did for the Day of the Dead was my grandfather, Chuck. He was a cowboy so every part of my project included something strongly representing him in every way I could. What I put on the altar to represent my grandpa was an ironwood bison that he always had upon his mantle. For exhibition I wore a shirt like he did along with jeans, cowboy boots, and a rodeo belt buckle. I liked this project because it let me express how much I loved my grandpa and let me represent him in ways I enjoyed. |
